New Feature - Adding Streaming Links
VideoQuiz has been updated to version 2.0, now capable of streaming content. In the previous version, teachers had to upload video files in mp4 format, but now they can specify streaming URLs.
There are numerous advantages to using streaming as the source of video content. One of them is the reduction of the load on the Moodle server by offloading resource-intensive video transmission to streaming servers. Moreover, since the video source is provided through streaming, the playback experience tends to be smoother.
As shown in the illustration, during the video playback, questions will pop up prompting users to interact. Viewers must answer these questions to proceed (correct answers can also control playback). The scoring records are synchronized with the user's gradebook, and of course, viewing records are included in the reports.
Mobile Device Support
In order to provide users with a better experience, VideoQuiz now supports tablets and smartphones. We have invested in development and testing resources to ensure compatibility with 90% of mobile devices on the market, ranging from 4.5 inches to 12 inches and supporting Apple, Android, and Windows platforms, enabling seamless video playback and quiz interaction.
Quiz Functionality
After adding a video, instructors can insert quiz questions at specific times within the video and provide correct answers. Students must answer these questions while watching the video, and they cannot fast-forward through the video until they have answered the questions.
This Moodle module allows students to interact with quizzes while watching videos, enhancing engagement and effectiveness in learning.
Reports on student responses are also available for instructors to reference.
